The material is suitable for playing alone or in small groups, either under the supervision of an adult or independently with some simple instructions.
1. The Football Match - Material: blowing tray, football pitch template and a ball. - Preparation: place the template on top of the blowing tray. Each player should position themselves behind one of the goals. Put the ball in the middle of the pitch. - Objective of the game: to blow the ball into the opposing goal and stop the other player from scoring goals. The winner is the one who scores the most goals. - Educational objective: to work on blowing intensity, making the child aware of the need to maintain the optimum breathing rate by pausing to take in air. Advice: - If more than two children are playing, they should take turns. - To increase the game’s difficulty, you can tell children they have to score a goal using the least possible number of blows, which helps to improve their control of the ball.
2. The Treasure Hunt - Material: blowing tray, two semi-templates of the islands and a ball. - Preparation: place each of the templates on top of the blowing tray to form a single scenario. The player positions him or herself behind the wheel of the boat and puts the ball on the starting point. - Objective of the game: to blow the ball to the dinosaurs’ island, then pass by the ice island and finally reach the treasure island. The winner is the player who manages to reach the treasure island with the least number of blows. - Educational objective: to work on breath control, helping to optimize breathing patterns. Advice: - One or more children can play, establishing turns in advance. - To increase the game’s difficulty, you can vary the route and/or instructions so they complete the task with a lower number of blows.
3. Follow the Path - Material: blowing tray and a ball. - Preparation: put the ball at one end of the route. - Objective of the game: to direct the ball along the path without leaving it. If the ball leaves the path, you have to start again. The winner is the player who manages to get to the end in one go with the least number of blows. - Educational objective: to work on blowing directional skills, helping to optimize breathing patterns. Advice: - Children can be left to play this game completely independently. - One or more children can play, establishing turns in advance. - To increase the game’s difficulty, you can tell children to use a lower number of blows to reach the end.
4. Sailing the Sea - Material: blowing tray filled with water and a ball. - Preparation: fill the blowing tray with water, without going over the edges of the route, and put the ball at one end of the route. - Objective of the game: to blow the ball along the route from one end to the other, without leaving it, in the least possible number of blows. If the ball leaves the route or goes backwards, you have to start again. The winner is the first player to reach the end in one go with the lowest number of blows. - Educational objective: this option calls for greater blowing control as it entails working on blowing intensity, control and directional skills all at the same time, helping to optimize breathing patterns. Advice: - Children can be left to play this game completely independently. - One or more children can play, establishing turns in advance. - To increase the game’s difficulty, you can tell children to use a lower number of blows to reach the end.
