Shipping policy

How to Order

Orders can be made in the following ways:

  • Through our Website – thinkingtoys.ie. 
  • By email – info@thinkingtoys.ie
  • By calling us on 061 374402 or 085 8894855. Please leave a message if you do not get through and we will respond in a timely manner. 

Deliveries to Ireland & Northern Ireland

As a rule we send all orders out by courier and the VAT inclusive cost of delivery is €7.50.

Our delivery charge is a one off charge and is the same regardless of whether the order contains one item or two or three. If an item is out of stock and is placed on a back order, we will deliver the back order at our expense.

Pick up from Warehouse

We don't have a shop but we have a warehouse in Killaloe. It's not ideal for looking around but you can certainly arrange to come and see some products or pick items up. Please ring us in advance on 061 374402 before organising a trip out to us. The warehouse is open Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 5pm.

UK and European Mainland Customers

We do ship orders to UK and Europe.

We simply determine a shipping cost based on the contents and the weight and size of the contents of the order. We communicate this cost to the customer who can decide if they wish to proceed. These shipping costs can be expensive but unfortunately these costs are outside of our control.

Timeline re: Orders & Delivery

We aim to dispatch within 3 working days of receiving an order. Generally, couriers will then deliver within 2 working days. The order process is quicker than this in many cases and we will certainly endeavor to speed it up if the need is urgent.

Payment / Credit Accounts

Generally, purchases need to be paid in advance of shipping. Payment can be made by Laser, Credit Card, Cheque, Bank Draft or Postal Order. All cheques etc. need to be payable to Thinking Toys.

However, we will send orders out to HSE (with PO), schools and institutions with an invoice. Payment terms for invoices are as soon as possible but no longer than 30 days. 

Our policy is not to take payment until the goods are ready for dispatch. We aim to carry all items in stock so dispatch is normally within 2 to 3 days of receiving an order. If any item is out of stock then we will contact the customer to advise them of the delay.

Prices

The Prices on the website are our current prices but are subject to change, upwards or downwards, especially if significant changes in exchange rates occur. 

VAT

We deliberately show all prices including and excluding VAT.

This should assist readers when comparing prices as many suppliers only show prices excluding VAT on their catalogues and websites with a note in small print that VAT needs to be added to the cost!

Ages

The “suitable ages” listed throughout the website are the manufacturers recommendations. Customers should use these as reference points when trying to determine their suitability for their children.

Therapist Recommendations

There are certain products for which we strongly recommend that you only purchase if you have received input from a professional therapist. These products include weighted products, deep pressure products and some of our oral motor and vibrating products.

What to do if the product you want is not in the catalogue or website?

Please contact us. We have built up relationships with many of the world’s largest suppliers of small scale specialist equipment and we will use these contacts to try and source your required product.
